Safety First - Series DW
Series DW provides extra protection against leaks and cross contamination. DW double wall heat exchangers consist of pairs of stainless steel plates instead of single plates. Twice as strong, the DW series prevents cross contamination due to internal leaks caused by corrosion, thermal stress and pressure pulsations.
The space between the plate pairs is open to the atmosphere providing a vent if a leak should occur, and the fluid will flow to the outside providing a visual indication. The WTT Series DW series meets the requirement for double wall-vented heat exchangers that are being adopted by more jurisdictions. They have a working pressure of 363 psi and are ideal for heat recovery applications on refrigeration systems.
